KIRTAN = A JOURNEY TO A MAGICAL LANDSCAPE WITHIN YOU.
Kirtan is a collective meditation practice with mantras and music. At kirtan, people say they have felt things they didn't know they could experience, and discovered new, previously hidden places within themselves.
Why is kirtan different from anything else, and why do we feel 'high' during/and after kirtan?
Kirtan = the most powerful way to get rid of anxiety, fear and illusion
Hundreds of years ago, yoga texts predicted that in our time we would have anxiety, live shorter lives, and argue with each other a lot. As an antidote to our condition, to calm our minds and achieve happiness and inner peace, they recommended kirtan.
Physically, kirtan stimulates the production of dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin and endorphins.
What makes the walls, tension and pressure on our shoulders dissolve. So, we feel liberated, relaxed, and reach a state of bliss, or, deep meditative 'trance' states.
We access a spiritual dimension, we connect with ourselves, on the deepest possible level. For real.
There are different ways to 'come back to ourselves'. This self-reconnection is all over marketing and social media (and even on H&M T-shirts). But to truly connect with ourselves, we need to go through certain authentic internal processes that work and have been proven by spiritual teachers and yogis for hundreds of years. Kirtan is the most powerful self-reconnection process, at least in the Vedic understanding (Hindu philosophy).
Therefore, we are super happy, we greatly appreciate everything that surrounds us: people, life, the little things, ourselves. We feel pure love.
